She will kick off the event with a standup set and then sit down for a moderated discussion followed by an open Q&A. Alyssa takes her audiences on the journey of loving and losing a parent and then slowly but surely coming out the other side, reminding us that no matter how dark or heavy things feel, if you are open to it, there’s no such thing as a bad day.
The event will be moderated by Niro Feliciano, psychotherapist, author, and TODAY show contributor.
Grief is a memory. It's the real joy and love that you try to almost forget on the other days because it's easier to not remember. The pain is less if you forget how lovely it was. And grief holds a mirror up to your past and makes you look at it.

About Alyssa Limperis
Actress, writer, and comedian Alyssa Limperis released her debut one-hour comedy special NO BAD DAYS on Peacock. The special takes viewers on the journey of loving and losing a parent and then slowly but surely, coming out on the other side. While the show provides an honest portrayal of loss and grief, it is full of jokes, hope and for good measure, a little bit of dancing -reminding us all that no matter how dark or heavy things feel, if you are open to it, there’s no such thing as a bad day. The special has received glowing reviews, and is featured in The List, Decider, and The Washington Post, amongst many others.
Alyssa was recently seen in the recurring role of “Lisa” on the final season of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS on FX, and also appeared alongside Christian Slater in the new DEXTER prequel on Showtime (DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN). Additionally, Alyssa just wrapped the feature film, YOU DESERVE EACH OTHER, opposite Penn Badgley and Meghann Fahy. Alyssa also starred in season 2 of the Showtime hit TV series FLATBUSH MISDEMEANORS, in a powerful performance as recovering addict “Sydney”. The viral success of Alyssa’s comedic “Mom” character videos led to recognition from Today, Vulture, Decider, Forbes, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe and other top-tier media outlets (and led to fan JJ Abrams taking out a TV project with her). She has also been featured on CONAN, LAST WEEK TONIGHT, A LITTLE LATE WITH LILLY SINGH, FOX SPORTS, and AUNTY DONNA’S HOUSE (Netflix). In the animated space, she’s appeared on Cartoon Network’s WE BABY BEARS, HBO MAX’s THE HAMLET FACTORY, and recently booked a recurring role on AMERICAN DAD.
She has starred in numerous indie films, short films, and podcasts, like the scripted podcast EDITH, which was nominated for best fiction podcast by iHeartRadio, and Spotify’s THE LAST DEGREE OF KEVIN BACON. She has also starred in countless national commercials alongside Brie Larson, Megan Thee Stallion, Danny DeVito, and to her Massachusetts family’s delight, Tom Brady.
